Works fine for charging, no audio transfer from my Iphone 4s to my Sony ICF-CS15iP. I should have known as the product info did not specificaly mention audio transfer like some of the other extension cables. Got a different cable - more expensive - works just fine.

This cable is very well made, and has lasted me a long time. It is thick and well constructed, and well more than long enough for almost any use. The only disadvantage to this cable is the dock connector is too large for use with otterbox defender series cases, and I imagine for almost any other case as well. Which of course it would be, as this one is a monster of a plug compared to the dock connector plug of standard iPhone cables. This problem can, however, be resolved by using a dock extender cable, such as that made by radtech or cablejive.

This was purchased for use as a dock extension cable for an I-Phone4. It will work for charging, but NOT for audio! I have not tested on older IPods, but it will NOT work on an I-Phone for audio.
